Boyd’s OBX Chevrolet, in partnership with NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch, is looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician who wants steady work, strong pay, and a shop that’s set up to help you succeed.
We operate a busy, insurance-driven collision center with consistent workflow — no shortage of work and real opportunity to flag hours.
As part of a growing, family-owned dealership group serving North Carolina and Virginia, we’re investing in our facilities, equipment, and most importantly — our technicians.

Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs and vehicle restoration (frame, panel, dent repair, refinishing)
- Ensure repairs meet OEM standards and restore pre-accident condition
- Operate equipment (welders, frame machines, measuring systems, spray guns)
- Follow OEM repair procedures and shop protocols
- Read and interpret work orders and repair plans
- Coordinate with estimators and parts team
- Maintain proper care of customer vehicles
- Perform finish work and quality checks
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Follow all safety policies
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of collision repair experience
- I-CAR certifications (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with frame machines and measuring systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Professional attitude and reliability

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform advanced drivability, engine, transmission, and electrical diagnostics
- Follow GM/OEM repair procedures to ensure accuracy and quality
- Efficiently complete repair orders to maximize flagged hours
- Work closely with advisors to keep jobs moving and customers informed
- Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are done right the first time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
- Master / A-Level Technician experience (GM preferred)
- Strong diagnostic ability (electrical, drivability, engine performance)
- GM certifications a plus (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven ability to flag hours consistently
- Own tools required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
